The cost of fixing software bugs, including security flaws, increases exponentially as the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) advances. Thus, it is cost beneficial for development teams to proactively address security throughout the SDLC to ensure that potential vulnerabilities are addressed early in the lifecycle. The purpose of this training course is to make developers intimately familiar with common application security pitfalls and the respective countermeasures. The course uses a combination of hands-on exercises, labs, demos and discussion of real-world case studies to explain the concepts to the students.
